We are planning on heading over the pond to New York in August next year for a two week break.
I myself have never been to New York but my wife was raised there and still has family there. So we are looking at going over to see the family and also to do the full on tourist stuff in the city.
Whilst having a Google on things to see and do in New York, I came across this website which has a live rotating webcam on it of Port New York. I thought it was pretty impressive so thought I would share it here:
Best to look at it in the day as its just lights at night!
