CoronaVirus Isolation Day 7

CoronaVirus Day 7
Read Time:2 Minute, 6 Second

Weekend

First weekend of the isolation period so my first day off working from home. I made use of my first day off by sitting and watching Netflix all day!

We have started to watch Designated Survivor and there are three seasons of it so it should get us through for a while.

Garden

I had plans to start some work on the back garden today, but Amazon did not turn up until it was dark with my new lawnmower so I’ve put that off until tomorrow now.

Movie Nights

We have decided to have movie nights, so we have all put in three movies to a hat and we take turns to pull one out for each night. So far we have had The Grinch, Transformers Dark of the Moon and The Incredibles, none of which were the wife’s choice and she is not happy! Tomorrow night’s movie is Le Man ’66 (my choice) so it doesn’t get any better for her!

Xbox One

We today got our four-year-old and my 33-year-old brother set up playing the Xbox One online together. Not sure who the bigger kid is but I had them live streaming whilst playing Forza Horizon 4 which you can see here.

NHS Letter

I today received a letter from one of my consultants in regards to my own health in relation to the ongoing CoronaVirus crisis. I’ve been told that I am one of the 1.5 million people in the UK that are at a heightened risk to the CoronaVirus. This also means that I officially now have to isolate for the full 12 weeks instead of the standard 3 weeks.

CoronaVirus Stats for Today

The stats for CoronaVirus continue to increase today. In the UK there have been 260 deaths in the last 24 hours with the total deaths now over 1000 having hit 1019 today. There are now 17,089 infected cases in total.

Worldwide there are now 662,541 confirmed infections and 30,839 deaths.

There was also a first Royal death today, 86-year-old Princess Maria Teresa of Spain contracted CoronaVirus and died.

Conclusion for Today

I’m glad I’m able to work in the week as it certainly makes the time go quicker. It also set in a little today after receiving the NHS letter that I’m going to be stuck in the house for another 11 weeks at the very least. Going to get some fresh air tomorrow and get the back garden sorted out.
