CoronaVirus Isolation Day 8

CoronaVirus Day 8

Garden

Today I finally managed to get out into the garden and get some fresh air. I cleared my shed out and mowed the lawn and jet washed the patio.

Need to paint the shed and fence and then dig out the borders to put some sleepers in – but it’ll be a while before I get going on that!

Car

The wife thought it would be a good idea to leave her handsfree Bluetooth kit charging in her car. This is the car that she hasn’t used for over a week. She went to move it off the drive today and the battery is completely flat.

I haven’t got any jump leads either so I’ve had to order a battery charger. I couldn’t get one from Amazon as they are only priority delivering now (even with my Prime) and it wouldn’t have been delivered until 26th April. Fortunately, I managed to find a new one on eBay that should be here by Wednesday.

Star Trek Picard

I finally got around to watching the last of Star Trek Picard on Amazon Prime Video today. Some people saying it was rubbish – I’d say it’s not as good as most Star Trek films and TV but it was ok. Definitely worth watching anyway if you are stuck in the house for three months!

CoronaVirus Stats for Today

The CoronaVirus stats today are bad again with 209 people dying in the UK in the last 24 hours. This takes the total death toll in the UK up to 1228 with another 19,522 infected.

Worldwide the figures continue to grow. There are now 714,153 people that are infected with 33,617 deaths.

Conclusion for Today

Mowing the lawn is hard work when you have a heart condition! My shed is absolutely full of spiders and we hoard far too much junk.
